Vitoria Perez

I’m a multilingual writer and freelance editor based between New Orleans, Louisiana and Lecce, Italy, with a background in both creative and professional writing. I trained in pre-professional creative writing at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts and continued my studies at the University of Iowa.

My work has appeared in The New York Times’ Modern Love (2022), has been recognized by the Poetry Society of America, and has been published in several international literary journals.

My creative writing explores themes of transitional change, cultural assimilation and reclamation, grief, multilingualism, and multiethnic identity.
