Self-employed contractor for the organization, overseeing all aspects of the production process and spotlighting social justice topics.
Responsible for generating new business growth through follow-up, cold calling and emails. Brought business opportunities by qualifying leads from marketing campaigns into sales opportunities.
Pitched stories and met a weekly deadline of two 400-word articles to the content team. Utilized Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in each article to hook readers researching those specific terms.
Constructed feature stories and was responsible for photographing each source. Expected to contact sources, create questions and research specific article assignments given by the editor.
Wrote human interest stories on excelling business school students. Responsible for own schedule and acquiring interviews. Photographed subjects with an angle and style suitable for the interviewee and story.
