English Writer & Researcher
Fiona writes for a range of audiences – in your voice
She writes. She loves words, cats, cooking and The Husband. Not necessarily in that order.
Based in McGregor, in the Winelands of the Western Cape, South Africa, Fiona is a remote gig-worker and backroom girl. She specialises in writing.
Fiona works collaboratively (and iteratively) with clients to develop well-crafted written content:
Background:
Thanks to the pandemic, Fiona has been forced to hone – even more – her writing for a range of audiences. For the nearly thirty years prior, she was an independent contractor in the post-school education and training sector. Roles varied from the development of systems for quality management, to learning materials development, research, policy analysis and report-writing. Clients included tertiary education institutions (local and international), sector education and training authorities (skills councils), private companies, government departments, NGOs and donors.
Fiona has worked in both the private and non-profit sectors, in various capacities: the development of educational materials for second language English learners, to administration and fundraising. She has been a volunteer governor and fulfilled leadership roles in organisations concerned with causes relating to children and youth.
