LOOKING FOR FILIPINO OR PHILIPPINE-BASED CANDIDATES

Position: Writer (Grant Writer)

Salary Range: 900 – 1,400 USD (to be assessed and approved by the client based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities)
Schedule: Monday – Friday; Flexible (5 hours overlap 8AM – 5 PM EST)

They are looking for a seasoned grant writer to be part of our growing team. You will work alongside our team which is dedicated to improving the funding capacity of organizations (NPOs, charities, etc.) across Canada and you will work directly with these organizations doing incredible work. As a grant writer, you must be resourceful, exceptionally detailed, and enjoy learning new things, as you write, edit, and submit compelling, high-quality grant proposals to funding agencies. You will bring knowledge of the ins and outs of grant applications and the process – and can apply proposal guidelines to individual applications. This role is responsible for proactively researching and analyzing grant opportunities and making recommendations on their feasibility, as well as collecting needed information and preparing grant budgets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Write grant applications
  • Write 10 outputs
  • Conceptualize and submit grants
  • Search for sources
  • Assist in the preparation of grant template documents
  • Maintain the project management system
  • Take applications and write answers based on the information available
  • Create something from scratch
  • Develop and transform ideas to compelling narratives
  • Coordinate and review grant submissions according to the funder’s requirements
  • Support and work with the account manager

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in writing/copywriting/underwriting
  • A strategic writer
  • A critical thinker
  • Someone who can answer questions in a compelling way
  • Someone tech savvy
  • Tools: Google Workspace, Slack, any project management tool
  • Strong English communication skills
