Description

The Technology Trainer/Writer at Stafford Gray is responsible for developing and delivering training programs that enhance employees’ technical skills and knowledge. This role combines instructional design, training facilitation, and technical writing to create comprehensive learning materials that cater to various audiences. The ideal candidate will be skilled in breaking down complex technology topics into easily digestible training content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop engaging training programs and materials focused on technology-related subjects.
  • Conduct training sessions using various teaching methodologies, including workshops, webinars, and one-on-one coaching.
  • Create user-friendly documentation and guides that support training initiatives and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Assess training needs and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and materials through feedback and assessments.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and current information is included in training content.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform training development.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a technology trainer or technical writer – 3+ years preferred.
  • Strong understanding of various instructional design models and training methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Experience with e-learning software and training tools (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia) is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines effectively.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications in training or instructional design (e.g., ATD, CPTD) are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with performance support tools and resources.
  • Experience in creating video tutorials or interactive learning modules.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and techniques.
