Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Technical Writer Intern to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating, maintaining, and improving high-quality technical documentation for our cutting-edge core banking platform and products. Collaborating closely with our Engineering, Product and QA teams, you will transform intricate technical details into clear, concise, and user-friendly content tailored for developers, system administrators, and end-users. This presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about both technology and communication to advance their careers within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Documentation Creation:
    • Write, edit, and update API documentation, user guides, developer guides, release notes, and other relevant technical content.
    • Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, consistent, and adheres to established style guides and company standards.
    • Transform complex technical concepts into easily understandable language for diverse audiences.
  • Collaboration:
    • Working in close partnership with software engineers, product managers, and QA specialists to gather information, understand product functionalities, and verify the accuracy of documentation.
    • Actively participate in product development cycles to identify documentation needs and opportunities.
  • Content Improvement & Innovation:
    • Proactively identify areas for documentation improvement and suggest new documentation initiatives.
    • Create videos and tutorials to enhance user understanding and engagement.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation processes and tools.
  • Technical Understanding:
    • Develop a strong understanding of our core banking products, their architecture, and underlying technologies.
    • Translate technical specifications and product features into clear and practical instructions.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Review documentation for technical accuracy, grammatical correctness, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
    • Incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders to refine documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s (B.Sc, BE, B.Tech or equivalent) degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 0-1 years of experience in technical writing, preferably within a software development or IT environment. Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio and relevant coursework are encouraged to apply.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Basic understanding of programming concepts (Java, Python, REST APIs)
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, easy-to-understand documentation.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn on job – The candidate will be working with a mentor and a proactive frame of mind is looked out for .
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience or willingness to learn video editing software for creating video tutorials.

Good to have:

  • A strong understanding of software development concepts, product lifecycles, and technical terminologies.
  • Proficiency in using documentation tools like Markdown.
  • Familiarity with core banking products or financial technology (FinTech).
  • Experience with API documentation tools ( Swagger/OpenAPI).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
