The Role

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join our Product team where you’ll play a crucial role in creating documentation that enables our users to take full advantage of our products and technical concepts. This role will require excellent verbal and written communication skills and involve collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

In addition to technical documentation for our industry-leading products, there will be opportunities to develop online training content that helps customers utilise the full capabilities of our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain material that allows our users to take full advantage of our products and build a clear understanding of the underlying analytical models
  • Updating existing documentation in line with our regular release schedule
  • Creating detailed changelogs and internal bulletins to ensure that information regarding updates is distributed both within TradingHub and to our clients
  • Communicating closely with various teams throughout the firm to compile information and coordinate deadlines
  • Supporting customer enquiries relating to systems architecture and configuration alongside
  • Helping to design tools to automate repetitive tasks

Requirements

Main skills/experience:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to distil complex information into clear and accessible formats
  • The ability to quickly grasp and understand difficult technical topics
  • A firm understanding of how to accommodate different audiences and purposes
  • Experience with mark-up languages such as HTML, LaTeX, and Markdown
  • A keen eye for detail and excellent copy-editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective inter-team coordination
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite products such as InDesign, Illustrator and Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Experience writing documentation for financial/fintech software products
