TECHNICAL WRITER

PRO-VISION Video Systems is looking for a Technical Writer to join their growing company. The salary range for this position is $50,000-$65,000 annually, based on education and experience. The Technical Writer will work in our Byron Center, MI location and work closely with our product development team.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

• Create and edit product technical and training materials for both internal and customer use.
• Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards.
• Communicate with sales and engineering personnel, read specifications, documentation, notes, and other development documents to become familiar with products and usage.
• Organize materials and completes writing assignments according to set standards in a timely matter
• Maintain version control of files to ensure latest materials are used.
• Assist with creation of drawings, sketches, part lists, and specifications used in materials.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, or Computer Science with experience in a related field
• Ideal candidate will have a high level of attention to detail and the ability to understand highly technical information
• Highly organized and can multi-task
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with people inside and outside of the organization.
• Must be proficient with a personal computer and various software including desktop publishing, spreadsheet, word processing, illustration, and database programs.
