Astroscale U.S. is currently seeking a Technical Writer to join our team in Denver, CO. This role is a key member of the Astroscale US (ASUS) team and reports directly to the Sr. Proposal Manager.
Job Description
- Develop persuasive, custom content as a lead writer and editor for technical portions of responses to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), miscellaneous bids, and pre-qualifications.
- Collaborate with the proposal team, sales and business development staff, engineering, and others to develop response strategies, proposal outlines, writing plans/storyboards, content and schedules while meeting challenging deadlines. Work collaboratively in all facets of the writing, editing, and review processes while spearheading initial drafts of technical content.
- Heavy focus on collaboratively editing technical documentation and deliverables in a fast-paced, proposal-like environment including the capability to research and analyze detailed technical processes and extract technical information.
- Assemble finished documents and coordinate proposal submission and delivery to ensure proposals are accurate.
- Garner a detailed understanding of Astroscale’s solutions and engineering roadmap to compose initial technical content from scratch.
- Craft executive summaries by leveraging technical insights and associated business development win strategies.
- Write and edit technical documentation & deliverables for internal and external customers and provide technical accuracy, compliance, and completeness of content.
- Organize configuration of text and graphics. Write, edit and proofread technical text and graphics.
- Refresh technical knowledge base content on a regular basis.
- Identify and apply applicable standards to documentation, conduct reviews and coordinate projects to successful conclusion.
- Verify consistency and clarity of communication. Develop concepts and proposals for new content management.
- Define content organization, nomenclature and navigation systems for multifaceted projects.
- Provide expertise related to emerging trends and technology in the writing industry.
- Develop concepts and proposals for new content management delivery systems, processes and technological advances.
- Provide guidance on message development content, strategy and tools.
- Identify and recommend high-level communication solutions and key message strategies.
- Ensure content is in compliance with proposal instructions and evaluation criteria set forth by customer/client.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3-5 years technical publications experience using industry standards to develop and revise technical documents and/or 1-2 years experience in supporting proposal teams
- Proficiency in computer technology/software and typing skills
- Strong technical writing and communication skills are required
- Knowledge of basic aircraft system methodology or equivalent technology preferred
- Experience writing for a technology industry is preferred

Deadline to apply is February 27, 2025.
Salary range: $100-115k. The salary range represents the low and high end of the Astroscale U.S. Inc. salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, knowledge, and ability as applicable to the role.
