Description:

  • Write service manuals, repair kits, and maintenance manuals for any machine that engineering is developing. This will include all 2D and 3D content with photographs and drawings or diagrams.
  • Will organize the manual in chapters based on the machine function. Will write all step instructions for the manual after meeting with the engineering teams.
  • Look at any vendor information for specs, troubleshooting info, and repair information for any parts in the Vermeer machine. These will include engines, hydraulic, clutches, or any other mechanical/electrical components.
  • Write all addendums for each manual.
  • Take pictures as needed for any information in the manual.
  • Each project will go through a 4 step review process, so correct any content after each time.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English or Journalism or similar field.
  • 2-4 years experience in technical writing or graphic arts.
  • 1+ years with mechanical experience (engine, machines, hydraulics, etc.)
