We are looking for a Technical Writer with strong training capabilities to join our team. This dual-function role involves producing high-quality technical documentation and delivering effective training sessions on IT products and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical writing expertise and instructional delivery skills to support internal teams, clients, and partners.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain clear, concise, and accurate documentation such as user manuals, API guides, FAQs, and knowledge base content.
- Translate complex technical information into easy-to-understand documents for various audiences.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA teams to collect information and validate documentation accuracy.
- Create tutorials, system diagrams, and visual aids to support documentation and training efforts.
- Manage documentation using tools such as Confluence, MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, and Markdown.
- Design and deliver engaging technical training programs for internal staff, clients, and partners.
- Conduct both live and virtual training sessions on software applications, IT tools, and technology best practices.
- Develop training materials including presentations, video tutorials, and e-learning modules.
- Assess training outcomes and continuously improve instructional materials and methods.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and methodologies to enhance content and training quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technical Communication, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in technical writing and delivering IT training.
- Strong knowledge of software development processes, APIs, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with documentation tools such as MS Word, Confluence, MadCap Flare, RoboHelp, Git, and Markdown.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content creation tools like Articulate, Captivate, or Camtasia.
- Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple and engaging manner.
- Certifications in Technical Writing, Instructional Design, or IT Training are a plus.
