Gracenote Global Video Data is a comprehensive collection of worldwide TV, movie, and on-demand data. Service providers worldwide rely on Gracenote to enhance TV schedules, improve video search and discovery, and enable audiences to find and enjoy their favorite shows. With detailed information about movies, TV shows, sports events, and music, Gracenote empowers next-generation user interfaces and discovery engines. We are the leading provider of descriptive data for Movies, TV, Sports, and Music, as well as stunning imagery globally.
We are looking for an SSC-Editor for the European market who has multilingual capabilities and a keen interest in sports.
Role:
The SSC-Editor role is a full-time position from Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for efficiently processing and curating Sport-Streaming-Catalogs, specifically related to sports content. This role requires effective workflow management to accurately process and update electronic programming guides (EPG) from various content providers.
SSC-Editors are also responsible for maintaining, updating, and improving the Gracenote database, which powers our consumer product and enhances the end-user experience. You will work closely with Ingest Metadata Production Team Leaders, who oversee daily operations specific to the market.
The ideal candidate will efficiently process a high volume of entertainment metadata and manipulate it to normalize and enhance the Gracenote database for long-term use.
Key Responsibilities:
– Acquire, normalize, and enhance entertainment metadata (streaming service programming) from various content providers.
– Process and manipulate data to ensure correct ingestion into in-house software tools.
– Pay high attention to detail to deliver high-quality, accurate, and timely content for the Gracenote database.
– Investigate, query, and confirm questionable programming content when necessary.
– Run quality assurance checks through systematic reports on the live database.
– Analyze and suggest process improvements.
– Contribute to team and department projects as assigned.
– Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
– Must have a keen interest and broad knowledge of sports TV and streaming.
– Good command of the English language is required, knowledge of any other language is a plus.
– Experience using computer software and databases, with excellent keyboarding skills.
– Previous data entry experience using content management systems is beneficial.
– Experience working in a team and excellent communication skills.
– Ability to work accurately under deadlines.
