SEO Content Writer
(1 Year Contract)
Maker Lab supports clients across technology, entertainment, financial services and the payments industry. We’re looking for dynamic individuals to join our team and support our amazing clients in the finance industry.
As an SEO Content Writer, you’ll be the superhero responsible for crafting engaging and informative content to attract traffic to our clients’ website and boost their rankings. Your main goal will be to drive content production to improve SEO growth while ensuring the content remains interesting and compelling for readers and adheres to brand guidelines.
You’ll be working side-by-side with the Growth Marketing and Content teams and other departments to figure out what topics and trends are hot and come up with content that’s in line with our business goals. You’ll need to have project management skills, be a wizard with words, know your way around SEO best practices, and be able to work on your own or as part of a team. You must think strategically and find a way to balance SEO needs with overall brand goals. If you’re a creative thinker who loves writing and digital marketing, this could be your dream job.
Role:
- Develop and implement SEO-focused content strategies that drive business goals and resonate with our target audience across blog posts and marketing materials.
- Produce high-quality, engaging content that meets our audience’s needs, masterfully balancing SEO best practices with a reader-first approach.
- Partner with design, product marketing, and other marketing teams to ensure content consistency, effectiveness, and a unified brand voice.
- Keep a pulse on the latest SEO, content marketing, and digital marketing trends and best practices.
- Maintain accuracy, ensure error-free content, and consistently align with the brand voice and messaging.
- Manage and optimise the editorial calendar and content production schedules.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to junior writers and freelancers.
- Fact-check information, review content for spelling and grammar and maintain high editorial standards.
- Support the seamless publishing of content on the Content Management System.
- Meet deadlines and achieve content goals while upholding quality and brand standards.
- Skillfully utilise AI tools to enhance our content creation and optimisation efforts.
- Establish and refine efficient workflows for content planning and creation.
- Identify opportunities to improve content quality, engagement, and user experience.
- Work closely with SEO and Growth Marketing teams to drive blog traffic and achieve quarterly targets.
- Understand and embody the Airwallex brand voice, tone, and editorial style in all content.
- Analyse and report on content performance to continuously improve results.
You:
- A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in SEO content management showcasing.
- Excellent writing and grammar skills
- Experience in project management within content marketing and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders at a global level
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills: Collaborate with clients, designers, and developers.
- Exposure to a content management system in prior experience
- Have a solid understanding of website traffic and engagement metrics (including experience with Google Analytics)
- Exposure to a content management system in prior experience
- Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced startup environment, embracing ambiguity and demonstrating a passion for growth.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills and – ideally – fluent in another Asian language to cover projects across APAC.
