What you’ll be doing…

As Senior Shopping Writer, you’ll pitch and write brilliant articles for Woman & Home, create content at a fast pace while maintaining consistency in tone and values, applying SEO best practice and balancing commercial and editorial KPIs. participate in peak trading events, such as Black Friday or Amazon Prime Day, and when required, create commercial content alongside editorial, and contribute to partnership pitches and broader brand projects.

You’ll commission and edit from external contributors into CMS as required, sub-edit and ensure SEO best practice is applied to articles – for example, re-writing headlines, meta titles and meta descriptions; updating internal linking, sourcing images and ensuring images have correct and accurate alt text and credits, develop a network of industry contacts to provide expert comments on relevant articles and use analytical tools to measure success of created content and inform upcoming content decisions.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

  • A digital native, you’ll be a whizz at using CMS systems and have an understanding of deal blocks and widgets. We need you to be able to deliver content quickly and efficiently.
  • A keen interest in, and understanding of, women’s products, particularly for the core market aged 45-60. We don’t necessarily require you to be an expert initially, but you’ll grasp the challenge of becoming one very quickly, and will need to understand what drives these women to buy, what their interests and pain points are.
  • Exceptional writing skills – from the ability to write snappy headlines and tight grammar control to the ability to choose the right image to draw people in.
  • Keen interest in SEO and an understanding of analytical tools, which you’ll use to form your content crafting.
  • A natural collaborator who loves being part of a high-performing team. Communication skills are paramount, and the ability to be a team player.

The expected range for this role is £25,000 – £27,000.
