We’re looking for a talented Senior Editor who will work across our areas of focus including broadcast and web content along with short form social work. As a Senior Editor, you’ll run edit sessions by yourself and should be comfortable interacting with clients. With the support of studio leadership, you’ll build client relationships that facilitate long term partnerships.
As a Senior Editor at PXP, you should be an expert in creating content that appears in social spaces (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok etc) while demonstrating a high degree of creativity and professionalism. You should be able to think on your feet, shifting focus, tasks, and responsibilities while communicating effectively with your team to find solutions to quickly turn around projects. Our Senior Editors are expected to be creating work at the pinnacle of their craft.
Responsibilities
- Editing high-end pitch work (original footage, found footage, case studies and sizzle reels)
- Working in sessions with agency pitch teams and creatives.
- Overseeing projects creatively and partnering with other PXP entities – color, mix, etc – to ensure that the end product is the highest possible quality.
- Final QC on all of their work (sometimes including final conform if that makes the most sense).
Location & Commitments
- Full-time role, in-person/in office will resume as a hybrid approach to work.
- Overtime may be required to deliver on client projects and deadlines.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience as an Sr. Editor. Must have experience working in the commercial space, either in a high-end Post house that specializes in advertising or an internal agency studio.
- Expert-level in Premiere Pro.
- Proficient in After Effects, Resolve, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Must have a dynamic reel with work in either automotive, food/beverage, packaged goods, or beauty.
- Deep technical understanding of video and the post-production pipeline.
- Dynamic, creative personality.
Additional Information
Compensation Range: $98,500 – $165,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
