Tutor/Teacher (English, Reading, Writing). A highly rewarding position helping students!

Note: tutoring will occur in person at our office in Clifton Park, NY.

Job Details:
  • Teaching experience is preferred but not required, as we will train skilled candidates on our successful teaching methods.
  • Hours are flexible; you tell us when you are available, and we will pair you with student schedules.
  • There are no lesson plans, grading, or other work for you to do outside of the classroom. Our full-time staff handles parent interaction and curriculum, so all you do is teach, typically on a one-to-one basis.
  • Tutors will work with K 12 students on Reading & Writing. In addition, some tutors will help students prepare for the Reading & Writing portion of standardized tests like the SAT and Regents.
  • We have an excellent training program.

Requirements:

  • 4-year College Degree.
  • Academic background in the desired subject area (English, Education, History, Liberal Arts, or similar).
  • Professional presentation and demeanor.
  • Desire to positively impact students’ lives.

Schedule:
  • Our school year tutoring hours are weekdays 3 pm-9 pm and Saturdays 9 am-4 pm. During the summer, hours will expand to all day.
  • This is a part-time position with potential growth opportunities to a full-time teaching and admin role. Our tutors’ weekly hours vary depending on their availability. The more availability you can provide, the more hours you will receive. Some tutors work a few hours per week and others as much as 25 or more hours per week.
