Job Description

We’re searching for an exceptional Product Content Writer to help bring SiteMinder’s products to life in our ever-evolving help centres and contextual learning experiences, while also working on basic tech tasks.

What You Would Do In This Role

This role consists of two core components:

Content writing

  • You will work with the Product Content team to proofread, write and edit copy about our great range of products, translating complex ideas and concepts into helpful, customer-friendly content across our many communication channels.
  • This could involve writing a guide for one of our help centres, drafting a video script for a monthly update or crafting UI copy for one of our products; whatever content you’ll be working on, no two days will be the same and you’ll get to work with a talented team of professionals who will help you learn, grow and improve. 

Tech enablement

  • You will also be responsible for basic tech tasks, such as uploading, publishing and optimising content via Salesforce and Intercom, supporting developers on releases, and investigating, testing and potentially fixing bugs.
  • The primary goal of tech enablement is simple: to ensure that the systems we use to deliver content to our customers are operational, efficient and up to date

What Do We Look For

  • 2+ years content writing experience.
  • Knowledge of HTML and Google Analytics is essential.  
  • Experience with Salesforce Community, Jira and Intercom is also highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Figma, Trello and/or Zeplin is a big advantage.
  • Background writing about software is highly desired, as is an understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Talent for turning detailed and/or complex technical jargon into consumable, meaningful and engaging written pieces.
