Ontario English Assessment Writer

Education Perfect is an EdTech platform designed to empower educators and amplify their impact in the classroom. We aim to enable teachers to personalise learning at scale with a range of powerful learning, assessment, and insights tools, helping them and their students reach their full potential.
In this contract based role, we require Grade 6-9 English teachers to write sets of closed assessment questions addressing specific expectations B3.2 and B3.3, in line with our content quality standards. The assessments will cover varying depth of knowledge of language conventions and enable students to demonstrate their learning across the achievement chart categories.
This opportunity might suit you if:
- You have 3 years experience teaching the Ontario English curriculum across Grades 6-8 or Grade 9
- You have experience teaching English grammar or are TESL Canada certified (preferred but not mandatory)
- You have experience writing robust assessment resources
- You have experience collaborating and applying actionable feedback on sets of closed assessment questions
- You have excellent attention to detail, time management skills and are driven to meet deadlines
- You are tech-savvy and have used online tools for visualising assessment resources
- You can commit to a minimum of 10-15 hours per week from early December 2024 to late February 2025
Employment will be contract-based and payment will be made per question created. You will be working across topics and grades using the suite of Google applications (Docs and Sheets) and project management software to track completion.
