What might your days look like
We’re looking for a Newsroom Producer who lives and breathes news—not just the front-page headlines, but the undercurrents that shape industries and trends before they hit the mainstream. If your first instinct every morning is to check Substack, X, or whatever indie news source is breaking the real stories, keep reading.
You’ll run our internal newsroom with the precision of a veteran editor and the instincts of a media insider. From managing writers and contributors (yes, including third-party experts) to shaping the editorial strategy and writing commentary, you’ll be the driving force behind high-impact content that isn’t just published, but actually read, shared, and acted on.
As our Newsroom Producer, you’ll:
- Set the Newsroom Agenda – Work with Data, Insights and a team of writers and specialists to identify themes and topics that align with our content pillars and key company objectives,
- Manage the Editorial Process – Oversee a team of writers, freelancers, and expert contributors, ensuring that deadlines are met and standards stay high.
- Edit Relentlessly – Every article that goes live needs to be sharp, insightful, and impossible to ignore.
- Create Sharp, Insightful Content – Write and develop original stories, breaking down complex ideas into must-read narratives.
- Optimise for Impact – Work with SEO to make sure our content isn’t just great—it’s findable. Smart linking, strategic keywords, and distribution that gets results.
- Measure and Adjust – Track performance data, refine strategy, and ensure our content hits engagement and performance targets. If something isn’t landing, you’ll know why—and how to fix it.
What will you bring
- A news junkie with an eye for what matters—before it makes headlines. You follow non-traditional media, niche Substacks, industry insiders, and trend forecasters like it’s your job.
- A writer and storyteller—You don’t just manage content; you create it.
- A strong editorial leader with experience managing writers, editors, and contributors. You know how to push for better work and keep teams moving.
- SEO-fluent—not just stuffing in keywords, but actually understanding how search, distribution, and engagement work together.
- Detail-obsessed and deadline-driven—if something’s off, you’ll catch it before it goes live.
