We are looking for a Multimedia Managing Editor, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position you will supervise and coordinate the work of our Content Team. Directs or participates in developing, writing, and editing blogs, video blogs and press releases. Assigns writers and helps them develop their stories. Serves as Coach, Mentor and Editor. Skills & Requirements Required bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related fields. Required 5 years copywriter, content editor or equivalent within the healthcare domain. Job Duties & Responsibilities Multimedia Managing Editor and writer for internal and external publications and digital media. Editorial Mastery: Write, review, and rigorously edit content, ensuring precision, coherence, and resonance with healthcare professionals. Content Strategy & Oversight: Define, deploy, and refine a content strategy that aligns with our overarching organizational goals and target audiences. Medical Integrity: Validate and ensure the impeccable accuracy of all health-related content, upholding the sanctity of medical information. Complexity Simplification: Transform intricate medical jargon into easily digestible content without compromising its integrity. Clear Communication: Ensure content engages diverse audiences, ranging from medical experts to administrative staff. Optimized Content Crafting: Produce and refine content that is not only meaningful but also primed for search engine visibility, ensuring it aligns with contemporary SEO guidelines. Research & Insights: Continuously harness modern research techniques to bolster content quality and relevance. Content Innovation: Stay abreast of evolving trends in medical science, content strategies, and digital publishing. Collaborative Synergy: Work closely with writers and other stakeholders to ensure content quality, consistency, and strategic alignment. Project Leadership & Management: Oversee large-scale content projects from inception to delivery, ensuring timelines, quality and objectives are met. Coordinates Internal Meetings: Attend events or patient appointments on campus to properly gather story-related research and interviews/quotes. Coordinate with photographers, writers, public relations team, and event managers, as needed, to ensure coverage of important hospital news, ribbon cuttings, openings, and special events. Relationship Building: Collaborates with key stakeholders, physicians, department leaders and administrative staff to remain abreast of important news, developments, and initiatives. Manages content for assigned publications. May contribute to executive communications or perform other duties as assigned.
