We’re looking for a Manager, Copywriting to lead the strategy and production of all marketing copy across digital channels and industry events. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how audiences experience Articulate across marketing touchpoints.

Working with the Director, Messaging Design, you’ll partner with our design team to jointly deliver on marketing briefs—from initial creative concepts to final production assets. You’ll lead a small but mighty team of writers to create highly engaging original copy that supports our brand and product positioning and helps create demand for Articulate’s suite of products. As the leader of the copywriting team, you’ll create strong cross-functional relationships to drive maximum impact. 

Our ideal candidate has expert-level knowledge of B2B copy trends, effective work prioritization methods, excellent team management skills, and an editorial eye to ensure quality and consistency for our brand. You should be deeply familiar with every step of the creative process, from discovery and concepting to stakeholder presentations and final deliverable handoff. This role requires a mature creative thinker who is passionate about storytelling and helping creatives of varying disciplines do their best work.

What You’ll Do:

  • Copywriting:

  • Write, edit, and optimize marketing copy for digital and event marketing campaigns

  • Host brainstorming sessions and design thinking workshops with writers, designers, and partners to develop holistic creative concepts and solutions 

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of our customers, products, industry, and brand voice to ensure consistency, quality, and impact of creative

  • Lean into SEO strategy and performance insights to guide copy generation and iteration

  • Spend time researching other cutting-edge brands to keep our brand experience relevant, relatable, and competitive

  • Leadership:

  • Mentor and coach a team of copywriters to help guide their priorities, facilitate career growth, and produce high-quality work 

  • Provide clear direction, new concepts, and creative guidance to copywriting team

  • Lead prioritization of work against our marketing roadmap and in service of our business goals with big-picture thinking

  • Provide actionable creative feedback to team members to minimize stakeholder reviews

  • Strategic Partnership:

  • Work on strategic initiatives and ways to improve our practices/craft with creative leadership

  • Work with our creative operations team to ensure copy projects are resourced and managed from needs assessment through implementation 

  • Use performance data and analytics from our social, acquisition, web, and email campaigns to help inform copy decisions

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Present creative concepts to stakeholders across various levels, including executive leadership

  • Advocate for the value of copywriting as a strategic marketing partner

  • Help influence expectations, timing, and planning for campaign work

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Forge a tight bond between our marketing and brand creative team and foster a collaborative cross-functional environment 

  • Work closely with design to deliver cohesive creative

  • Be a great team player who is highly self-motivated, solution-oriented, and able to pivot

What You Should Have:

  • 5-8 years of experience in copywriting for a B2B SaaS or eCommerce company, with demonstrated ability to ideate and create copy strategies that drive engagement and demand  

  • Deep knowledge of marketing segmentation strategies for copy optimization

  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing and mentoring a team of writers 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present concepts to stakeholders and executive leadership

  • Collaborative mindset and comfortable working effectively in cross-functional teams

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Understanding of SEO best practices and performance data

  • Positive, empathetic, driven, collaborative, flexible, and confident

  • A compassionate doer who seeks to improve our processes and regularly works to identify areas to maximize team efficiency

$105,900 – $158,900 a year

The pay range for this position is $105,900 to $158,900 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
