Legal SEO Contract Writer

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled SEO contract writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in SEO content writing, with at least 1 year of experience specifically in legal SEO content writing. The role primarily involves creating engaging, informative content that is SEO-optimized for our clients’ websites.

Responsibilities:
You will:

• Create engaging content following topic outlines and briefs provided by our SEO team.
• Ensure content is SEO-optimized, written in a user-friendly format, and adheres to client-specific style guidelines.
• Distill complex legal jargon and ideas into website content that is understandable to the average reader.
• Rewrite existing content as needed with provided SEO guidelines and merge various pieces of content into cohesive new pieces.

Requirements:
A candidate for this position will possess:

• Strong grammar and writing skills.
• Proven ability to create quality content that drives SEO traffic.
• Familiarity with Google Sheets for following content calendars or briefs.
• 1 year of legal SEO content writing experience.
• 2–3 years of SEO content writing experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree preferably in English, Journalism, Marketing Communications, or related field.
• Experience with plaintiff-focused legal topics such as personal injury, family law, insurance claims, and bad faith insurance claims preferred.

Content Volume:

Word count estimations will be provided monthly, ranging from 20,000 – 50,000 words per month depending on current needs. Pay is based on a per-word rate.

Collaboration:

Communication with SEO specialists will primarily occur via email and/or Slack.

Turnaround Time:

Content creation and self-editing should not exceed 10 business days.

Autonomy:

The legal SEO contract writer is expected to follow content briefs provided by an SEO team member and effectively communicate regarding deadlines and content turnaround.
