Job Description

This exciting role sits within our United Living Infrastructure Services business, which supports the design, maintenance and development of critical energy and water infrastructure for the UK’s largest network of owner/operators and private industrial clients. The business has been highly successful and is rapidly expanding to meet client demands and our significant growth targets for the future. Purpose: As a member of the ULIS work-winning function, you would be responsible for tender submissions, working alongside technical and estimating teams. Depending on experience, this may be leading competitive tender events for standalone frameworks/projects or supporting our existing framework teams in the delivery of comprehensive tender submissions. You will contribute to our business growth by coordinating all activities from initial enquiry through to tender submission and negotiations. Project values could range from £250k up to £250m (for Major Projects). Specific Duties: We’re seeking someone who gets involved and works well in a team environment. During the tender process, you would be responsible for: Ensuring our CRM system accurately reflects tender timescales, value and status of opportunities to support planning and resource allocation. Reading, understanding and extracting the key bid requirements from the documentation received and communicating with all parties. Arranging and/or leading tender kick-off, sign-off and handover meetings. Managing Site Visit or Interview requirements, identifying a ‘Champion’ to lead the process. Working with the technical and estimating functions to ensure the business meets relevant submission deadlines through timely planning, management and completion of quality submissions. Developing internal and external relationships in association with the bid process. Planning, writing & co-ordinating submission responses, ensuring client and job-specific answers. Identifying company USPs and competitive advantage and ensuring these are fed into bids. Reviewing all bids prior to submission to check relevance, quality and accuracy. Maintaining current information on United Living’s good practices from Operational and Service teams. Maintaining a high level of market intelligence, best practice and Client information. Identifying opportunities to enhance and improve the process. Managing follow-ups with Clients to secure accurate information.
