Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting an Environmental Compliance Specialist – Proposal Writing in Oak Ridge, TN.

As an Environmental Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our efforts to secure new projects and continue our work with key federal agencies. You will leverage your expertise in environmental compliance and your exceptional writing skills to develop compelling proposals that demonstrate our capabilities and commitment to environmental stewardship.   • Develop and write high-quality technical and non-technical proposals for environmental projects with the Department of Energy, NASA, and the Department of Defense.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, scientists, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure proposals meet client needs and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Conduct thorough research on environmental regulations and compliance requirements relevant to each proposal.
  • Review and interpret federal solicitations, identifying key requirements and aligning our proposal content to address these effectively.
  • Coordinate and manage the proposal development process, ensuring deadlines are met and documents are submitted in accordance with agency guidelines.
  • Continuously update and improve proposal templates and materials, incorporating innovative strategies and best practices in environmental compliance.
  • Provide expert advice on environmental compliance matters during proposal development and project execution phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in environmental compliance, with a proven track record of working on federal contracts.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience in proposal development for government agencies desired.
  • Strong understanding of federal environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex information to a non-technical audience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with proposal management software.
