Job Description

The PXP/Saatchi&Saatchi Editor has a wide range of responsibilities, as he/she handles everything from editing case studies, award show submissions, sizzle and pitch videos for Saatchi and Saatchi, to additional editorial requests for Saatchi and Saatchi’s clients (as well as larger PXP requests). The Editor must be creative, collaborative and have a passion for advertising. The Editor will be running edit sessions by themselves and working directly with agency leadership so they need to be strong in client management skills. The Editor will be supported by studio leadership but is also expected to build strong relationships with clients who then become long-term partners. The Editor will be expected to be creating work at the pinnacle of their craft. Position is required to frequently shift focus, task, and responsibility while working on multiple projects. Person must have a level head and be a clear, quick thinker. Ability to transfer information to teammates is a must. Person must have an in-depth understanding of how to create content that appears in social spaces (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.). Must have the ability to find solutions to quickly turn around projects. A high degree of accuracy, creativity, and professionalism is expected. Responsibilities: Editing everything from case studies, pitch & sizzle videos, award show submissions, social content, and internal-facing client work. Light Motion Design work such as title cards. Working in sessions with agency and brand clients. Overseeing projects creatively and partnering with other PXP entities – color, mix, etc – to ensure that the end product is the highest possible quality. Final QC on all of their work (sometimes including final conform if that makes the most sense). Cultivating relationships with key clients to ensure that they are taken care of and want to come back. Always working to improve their reel to ensure that PXP leadership can be selling them on upcoming projects. Location & Commitments: Full-time role, in-person/in LA office, hybrid role (usually 3 days in office, 2 days WFH). Travel may be required for production needs. Overtime may be required to deliver on projects and deadlines. Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience as an Editor. Expert-level in Premiere Pro. Proficient in After Effects, Resolve, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Deep technical understanding of video and the post-production pipeline. Dynamic, creative personality. Passionate, driven, proactive, curious, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, high-expectation environment. Strong sense of priorities with the ability to manage multiple asks/tasks. Travel may be required for production needs. Overtime may be required to deliver on projects and deadlines.
