Job Description

The development coordinator will help organize and administer fundraising events for Good News Home Inc. As the development coordinator, your primary duties include scheduling and planning fundraising events, researching and writing grant proposals, and providing administrative support to staff. Duties and Responsibilities: – Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, HR Director, and other administrative staff by managing postage mail, email correspondence and creating and sharing memos, letters, spreadsheets, forms, and faxes. – Act as the eyes and ears of the office, providing information, answering questions, and fulfilling requests. – Plan, organize, and schedule company meetings in the office, off-site, and through video conferencing. – Maintain a filing system, contact database, employee list, and inventory. – Order and keep track of office supplies for staff. – Coordinate, write, and research grants from private foundations, corporations, and the government. – Monitor existing non-government grants and complete all reporting requirements. – Develop and maintain new sources of individual and church support. – Ensure timely completion of the monthly program. – Manage all fundraising events such as the twice-a-year ASK letter, Designer Bag Bingo, Banquet, and Golf. – Send thank-you notes in response to participation in fundraising events, monthly donations, and in-kind gifts. – Maintain the donor database. – Manage the organization’s social media platforms and websites. – Work closely with the Administrative Director maintaining Google Drive files. Requirements: – College degree or equivalent. – Experience with grant writing is a must. – Experience with fundraising for a nonprofit organization. – Experience with reviewing contracts. – Proven administrative experience. – Superb written and verbal communication skills. – Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability. – Aptitude for learning new software and systems. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: – Grant writing experience – Previous success in office management. – Experience managing budgets and expenses. – Experience developing internal processes and filing systems. – Comfortable handling confidential information.
