We are excited to invite you to join our growing legal team as a Virtual Demand Writer/Legal Writer. This is a fully remote position, giving you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home while being part of a dynamic and supportive team.

The Demand Writer will possess a high attention to detail, have the ability to multitask and prioritize and excel under pressure. In addition, the Demand Writer may be tasked with special projects on an as-needed basis requiring direction and guidance by Management and/or other Team Leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Draft demand letters, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research to support the development of cases.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions, and other case filings.
  • Develop a case theme that is more than a summation of the evidence.
  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.
  • Support the team by creating legal resources for use by other attorneys.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Pre-Law, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a legal writer, demand writer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of legal principles, including personal injury and property damage laws.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Familiarity with demand letter formats, legal terminology, and citation styles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Own Laptop or Desktop (8GB RAM, Core i5 or above & Microsoft Office) and with an internet connection of at least 10mbps
  • Willing to work on Pacific Standard Time (PST) schedule.
