As a copywriter for J.Crew Factory, you will capture the brand voice and execute it across multiple placements. You’ll work to story tell through product descriptions, social media ads, email marketing, and more! We’re searching for a strong writer who will work directly with the Copy & Editorial Manager and partner closely with design, marketing, merchandising, planning and legal teams to craft brand initiatives of all sizes. The team works on a hybrid schedule, attending in-person meetings at our downtown NY office 1-2 days per week. Primary Duties & Responsibilities – Write concise, detailed copy that follows creative briefs within the J.Crew Factory brand voice – Partner with merchandising and proof teams to finalize product names and additional galley copy for – Manage all paid social, email assets and digital ads for outside agencies and partners – Write daily site copy for promotions and their associated assets – Support the Copy & Editorial Manager weekly with writing promotional and editorial emails and corresponding subject lines, editorial features and in-store signage as needed – Work with design partners to ensure copy is flowing correctly into creative and achieves marketing asks – Attend seasonal product kick-offs and work through various types of project briefs, paying close attention to marketing objectives and copy requests Skills & Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years of experience working in copywriting – Experience writing promotional and editorial emails, website copy and social media posts – Ability to work on multiple projects at once while maintaining strong attention to detail – Data-driven and familiar with SEO best practices – Fashion, beauty or lifestyle brand experience preferred – Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects at once – Strong written and verbal communication skills – Talkoot experience is not required but it’s a bonus! Salary Range: $64,200.00 – $77,000.00 At J.Crew Group (JCG) we aim to pay competitively for our company’s size and industry. The base salary offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work premises, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
