THE OPPORTUNITY

Billy Reid is seeking a Copywriter who is a creative individual with experience storytelling through creative, compelling, and brand appropriate copy.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly understands and clearly conveys brand voice, including nuances dependent on channel, content and context that brings the brand story to life

  • Disseminate the brands distinct and authentic voice across through consistent and authentic storytelling across all consumer touchpoints, including but not limited to:

o Email

o Social (paid and organic)

o Website (product, homepage, blogs)

o Retail

o All marketing projects, concepts and campaigns

  • Own process of creating and editing product copy
  • Lead the development of seasonal product stories
  • Interprets and adapts information from a variety of sources and resources including product/design team, creative briefs, marketing initiatives sessions
  • Plan, prioritize and organize high-volume workload to meet a multitude of competing deadlines with regular status updates to team
  • Proofreads all work for accuracy, logic, grammar, and consistency, responsible for the quality and integrity of work from concept to delivery.
  • Demonstrates willingness to take/interpret feedback, multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Contribute to brainstorms and strategic conversations

  • Deep familiarity with and passion for fashion, online retail, and social media
  • Ability to adapt to a brand voice

  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment; able to deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced business and pace of social content generation
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills

Education & Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree preferred

● 3+ years copywriting experience in fashion, or retail preferred

● Fashion or lifestyle experience preferred
