Job Description

Description

At Clarion, our people are at the absolute heart of what we do. We’re proud that our core values of PASSION, CARE, IMAGINATION, and TRUST define the way we carry out our work across all of our exhibitions and conferences.

If you share our values and want to be a part of a successful, dynamic, and creative global business, then we want to hear from you.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a content creator to step up to a key position as we grow that marketing services offering across multiple product formats, including written, video and audio. You will be a lynchpin in our efforts to ensure our clients are the most visible, and most successful, brands in gaming.

Our ideal candidate is someone as comfortable producing advertorial copy as they are planning and hosting video interviews. There will be scope to develop deep-dive products such as white papers, and to plan – or even host – webinars.

Most importantly, we are in search of someone who is not afraid to get stuck in, try new things and enjoy themselves as part of one of the most exciting new ventures in gaming media.

Key Responsibilities:

A strong writer:

  • There will be a lot of writing and we are eager for you to use your natural ability and SEO experience to act as a storyteller for leading brands across the industry.
  • Industry experience is beneficial, but we will give you every opportunity to leverage your expertise and build your knowledge further to produce outstanding content.
  • As with any writing job, you will be working to deadlines, sometimes with tight turnarounds – if you tick off tasks without breaking a sweat or a dip in quality, you are a frontrunner for this role!

A content marketing mindset:

  • You will produce outstanding, optimised content that takes complex concepts and explains them in an engaging way to an industry audience.
  • Through your experience, being able to identify the best medium to engage our audiences, whether that is written, video or audio, will come naturally.
  • We are keen for someone who can take an idea and run with it, enhancing, and expanding on clients’ wishes.
  • You will also act as a face of the brand, dealing with clients and partners as a key point of contact.

A people person:

  • We are looking for someone who can assess a situation and take charge, quickly picking up what needs done while overseeing and inspiring others.
  • You will have the opportunity to work autonomously, trusted to take control of key projects and campaigns – but with all the support you need to work through them.

A confident individual:

  • We are looking for someone who is both confident enough to take charge, and humble enough to take advice and feedback (and praise!)
  • Feeling confident enough to try new things, playing a role in developing key concepts and new products, and stepping into the unknown as we grow the business.
  • We are a team of problem solvers, who can quickly and efficiently take an issue and find a successful resolution, and we’re looking for more of that quick thinking to enhance the team

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

Delivery, delivery, delivery:

  • This is a crucial role, and a key part of it is client fulfilment. We will look to have someone who hits deadlines, keeps campaigns on schedule and seeks out more.

Campaign management:

  • For clients you will be the key point of contact for content, so being able to work effectively with industry suppliers, and help guide their decision-making to ensure their content reaches key audiences such as operators, is crucial.

Quality content:

  • The fewer edits and redrafts, the better! The ability to apply your writing skills to industry projects is a key metric we will look at.

New thinking:

  • We are not expecting you to just come in and do what you are told – we want you to make the role your own. We will give you opportunities to test and develop new products and delivery formats, so a steady flow of ideas and pitches to our product development forum will help you succeed.

Values:

The Gaming team is a group of enthusiastic individuals driven by the following values:

We love the unexpected:

  • We’re adventurous and willing to try new things
  • We embrace and drive change
  • We aim to surprise and delight

We’re open and happy to share:

  • We engage with stakeholders outside the event
  • We build sharing communities
  • We embrace others’ ideas

We’re committed to caring:

  • We take personal responsibility to get things done
  • We always think about every step of the experience
  • We strive to understand and meet customers’ needs

We continuously learn:

  • We actively seek inspiration from all quarters
  • We constantly strive to improve what we do and how we do it
  • We help learning lead to growth
