Job Description

As a Content Creator – Writer, you will be accountable to research and author various types of content, including thought leadership pieces, research pieces, blogs, and video scripts, aligned with our program objectives.

As a Content Creator – Writer at SMG, this is what you will do:

  • Strategize and draft compelling email copy, attend research meetings with the insights team, and utilize findings to craft insightful content.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging across all content formats by adhering to brand templates and guidelines.
  • Optimize content for search engine optimization (SEO) and social media channels to enhance visibility and engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all project deliverables are met.
  • Engage with subject matter experts and stakeholders to accurately represent products and services in content, striving to become a subject matter expert over time.
  • Regularly contribute creative ideas and participate in ideation sessions to enhance project and program developments within the Marketing Team.
  • Monitor digital trends and incorporate relevant insights into content strategies to ensure effectiveness and relevance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create personalized RFPs for clients/prospects when needed.

You are a perfect match for the role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Journalism, English, Writing, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred).
  • Proven experience in content creation and strategy, ideally within a similar role.
  • Experience writing research papers (can include college papers)
  • Superb storytelling abilities with a strong grasp of effective writing, basic proofreading, and AP style.
  • Passionate about communications, digital trends, and social media.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly collaborative nature and proven ability to work well within a team.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Active engagement with social media and a keen ability to translate insights into impactful
  • information) for creating robust ETL pipelines from Sources like Elastic, Mongo, Hive and Flat files.
