Position summary

If so, we’d love to hear from you! is seeking a Senior Communications & Content Director with a proven track record of successful leadership; the ability to navigate complex challenges, make informed decisions, motivate others to achieve exceptional results and effectively guide and inspire their team. Their expertise should extend to the tech industry, enabling them to steer our organization towards sustained growth and success by leveraging market trends, competition, and emerging technologies.

As the Senior Communications & Content Director you will play a critical role in shaping and executing our strategy. Leading a team of talented professionals and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams you will drive an impactful communication strategy with tailored content for developer communities. 

Reporting into the CMO, this role has high visibility and close collaboration with company leadership, presenting an opportunity for profound impact and ample growth opportunities.

What you can expect

  • Content strategy & development: Drive success with a targeted content strategy, overseeing development and collaboration with subject matter experts, ensuring user-friendly technical content that aligns with brand guidelines, and implementing effective editorial processes and content calendars for consistency and quality.

  • Communications strategy: Create a comprehensive and targeted communications strategy that aligns with organizational goals, utilizes extensive audience research, collaborates with cross-functional teams for consistent on-brand messaging, and capitalizes on industry trends for innovation and improvement.

  • Team leadership: Scale and lead a dynamic team of leaders, providing mentorship, guidance and goal setting while efficiently allocating resources and prioritizing projects to meet organizational goals and deadlines.

  • Collaboration and relationship building: Influence and align communication efforts by collaborating with cross-functional teams, building relationships with key stakeholders, and facilitating seamless coordination between departments (including marketing, product, sales, strategy, executives and external agencies)

  • Quality assurance: Deliver captivating communication materials with unwavering accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment, transforming content into impactful masterpieces through meticulous review and editing, while staying ahead of industry standards and implementing dynamic metrics to measure astounding performance.

What you bring

  • Excellent leadership experience with a history of team development and leading managers + ICs

  • Excellent command of the English language 

    • Enthusiastically adept at explaining complex technical concepts with clarity

    • Exceptional written communication abilities, with an eye for detail, and a mastery of grammar, style, and formatting

  • Strong emotional intelligence to foster collaboration across diverse teams 

  • Proven track record  in developing and executing communication strategies preferably in a technical or technology-focused environment

  • Proficiency in content management systems, project management tools, and other relevant software applications

  • Knowledge of SEO principles and content optimization techniques is desirable

  • Thrive in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environments and adept at managing multiple projects concurrently 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, content strategy, or a related field. A master’s degree is a valuable asset.
