What will the role involve?

You will work closely with editorial leaders and newsrooms in the Live Network to embed social and multimedia content in alignment with our audience development plans, exploring ways to incorporate revenue generating content. You will identify new platforms and audience segments to grow our audiences. You will review and identify areas for improvement across the Live Network in relation to their social content, analysing output and using analytical reports to make key content decisions. You will work to grow audiences across various brands through distribution support and hands on guidance to journalists. You will troubleshoot issues when they arise, quickly identifying an action plan to overcome and improve.


Who are we looking for?

You are an experienced senior journalist and editor with your NCTJ or equivalent qualification, media law knowledge and a proven track record of working at Editor level in a fast paced newsroom environment. You have an excellent news sense and a good understanding of our Live Network brands.

You have a wealth of experience within digital publishing and your social media skills are unmatched. You have an excellent understanding of various social platforms including but not limited to Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat and Pinterest.. You are a team player and people person who can build and develop lasting working relationships with your newsrooms and be a trusted point of contact.
