Description

As a Business Analyst at the organization, will play a crucial role in an application architecture modernization program. This program aims to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and functionality of existing applications, ensuring they align with industry best practices and meet the evolving needs of the stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, developers, and project managers, to gather and document business requirements for the modernization project.
  • Analysis and Documentation: Analyze existing application architecture, workflows, and processes to identify areas for improvement. Document findings, including business processes, technical specifications, and system integrations.
  • Technical Writing: Create clear and comprehensive documentation, including user manuals, system diagrams, process flows, and technical specifications. Ensure documentation is accurate, understandable, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex technical concepts into understandable language for stakeholders. Communicate project updates, requirements, and risks effectively to all relevant parties.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities, including reviewing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards and industry regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to application architecture and technical documentation. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the development practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of +5 years as a Business Analyst and/or Technical Writer in software development or application modernization programs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Confluence, and JIRA.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and modernization frameworks is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality documentation that meets the needs of end-users and technical stakeholders.
