Job Description

Turner & Townsend are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Controls & Technical Communications Specialist to support the execution of a major LNG Project. This hybrid role combines project controls expertise with strong technical writing skills, focusing on the creation of clear, professional project documentation and communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, edit, and manage project reports including progress updates, executive summaries, and stakeholder communications.
  • Review reporting inputs from discipline leads to data is complete and consistent
  • Prepare formal project correspondence such as meeting minutes, memos, transmittals, and communications.
  • Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy in all written materials, aligning with project goals and contractual requirements.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Project/Program specifications:

  • Project/Program specific responsibilities: Project Controls Reporting.
  • Market sector experience: LNG.
  • Project/program size in dollar value: $14B.
  • Location: Houston, Texas – in office.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project controls and/or technical writing with a focus on project documentation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Word and Excel), and project management tools.
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to detail and formatting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on large EPC Projects, LNG Experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with document control systems (e.g., SharePoint, Aconex, Procore).
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), Project Planning/Scheduling, Cost Management principles.
