The Senior Technical Writer is responsible for producing clear, accurate, and high-quality technical documentation to support internal and external stakeholders. This senior-level role involves collaborating with subject matter experts to translate complex technical information into user-friendly content, while also mentoring junior writers and contributing to documentation standards and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit technical documents including user manuals, training guides, system specifications, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers, developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather and verify technical content.
- Ensure documentation is clear, consistent, and aligned with company style guides and compliance requirements.
- Manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Lead the development and maintenance of templates, style guides, and documentation standards.
- Review and provide feedback on documentation produced by junior writers or project contributors.
- Work closely with quality assurance and product teams to validate accuracy and usability of documentation.
- Support document version control, change tracking, and publishing through document management systems or knowledge platforms.
- Champion continuous improvement of documentation processes and tools.
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of proprietary or sensitive technical information.
Requirements
B Degree/B Tech/ National Higher Diploma/Advanced Diploma in English, Journalism, or Communications.
