Description
One of our portfolio companies is seeking experienced Proposal Managers to join our AI-enabled proposal writing service as part-time contractors. As a Proposal Manager, you’ll be the primary point of contact for our SMB clients, responsible for ensuring successful delivery of high-quality, winning proposals. This contract role combines client relationship management, project coordination, proposal editing/formatting, and quality control to deliver exceptional RFP responses for our clients.
This is a flexible, project-based contract position where you’re compensated per proposal completed at $50-$100 / Hour.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management
- Lead client onboarding and kickoff meetings for new customers
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients
- Communicate proactively with clients through all proposal phases
- Respond to client inquiries within 24 hours per our SLA
- Identify and pursue opportunities for client renewals and upsells
Proposal Management
- Source relevant RFP opportunities for clients using our automated tools
- Manage multiple proposals simultaneously from intake to submission
- Oversee proposal development process including content creation and revision
- Ensure all proposal submissions meet RFP requirements and deadlines
- Coordinate with our AI systems to produce and refine proposal drafts
- Perform final quality review of all deliverables
Production & Documentation
- Handle document preparation, formatting, and packaging
- Create professional design elements and visual enhancements
- Ensure branding and style guide compliance
- Prepare submission packages according to client and RFP requirements
- Maintain detailed records in our project management system
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 2-5 years experience as a Proposal Writer and/or Manager
- Experience with RFP, proposal writing, or government contracting
- 2+ years in customer success, account management, or related client-facing role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
- Proficient with Google Workspace and design tools like Figma or Canva
- Experience with project management tools
- Available to work on a flexible, project basis
Preferred Qualifications
- APMP Certification
- Background in customer success for B2B SaaS or services
- Experience working with AI tools or content automation
- Graphic design skills or experience with design software
- Knowledge of procurement processes
- Previous experience as an independent contractor or freelancer
