About Writer
I’m Jack — a Costa Rica–based American writer focused on queer fiction, cultural criticism, and emotionally charged storytelling that doesn’t apologize for having a spine. My work lives at the intersection of beauty and contradiction, often exploring power, identity, and the long, uncomfortable shadow of human behavior.
Before fiction, I spent two decades in design and production, which taught me how to take chaos and make it communicable. I write with that same discipline: clear structure, strong voice, and no time for fluff. Whether I’m unpacking a Victorian romance between broken men or deconstructing the hypocrisy of modern tech discourse, I value precision, tone, and the long game.
I have strong opinions about language, aesthetics, and how creatives are treated in an increasingly stupid world. I don’t expect everyone to agree — just to keep up.
Currently finishing a novel (Under Different Stars) and building a body of work that reflects a life lived in defiance of genre, silence, and the expectation to behave.
