Description
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Bid Writer with a proven track record in the nuclear industry to lead the development of high-quality, compelling bids and proposals. This role requires strong technical acumen, a strategic approach to bid structuring, and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines. Based in Romania, the successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, commercial, and legal functions both locally and internationally.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end development of complex bid submissions, pre-qualifications, and proposals for nuclear sector opportunities.
- Translate technical information into clear, concise, and persuasive written content.
- Structure bid documents logically and in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with subject matter experts to gather, interpret, and present technical information effectively.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with customer specifications, evaluation criteria, and corporate standards.
- Support strategy development, win themes, and value propositions for each bid opportunity.
- Coordinate with graphic designers and proposal managers to ensure final documents are visually compelling and technically sound.
- Continuously update and manage a bid content library and maintain document version control.
- Mentor junior bid writers and contribute to improving bid writing processes and templates.
Requirements:
Essential:
- 5+ years of experience in bid writing, with at least 3 years in the nuclear or related high-compliance sectors (e.g., energy, defense, infrastructure).
- Demonstrated success in securing high-value contracts through written proposals.
- Strong technical understanding of nuclear systems, engineering concepts, and industry-specific language.
- Native or fluent Romanian and excellent English writing and communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Familiarity with EU public procurement processes and Romanian regulatory frameworks.
Desirable:
- Degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, Communications, or a related field.
- APMP or equivalent bid/proposal management certification.
- Experience working in multinational, multidisciplinary teams.
