About the role
We’re looking for a marketing copywriter to join our versatile, collaborative, and impactful team. This role will work with both brand and performance marketing teams in crafting delightful, on-brand, effective copy for a variety of channels and projects. You’ll learn what inspires and drives customer behavior through testing, then use what you’ve learned to help shape our writing, strategy, and writing guidelines. If you have experience writing a range of marketing content and are interested in helping people enjoy the outdoors, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a dynamic role supporting two pillars of our marketing department. Working with the brand squad, you’ll write editorial content like newsletters, new feature announcements, video scripts, and other content. You’ll also proofread and help others write in the komoot style and voice. As our first in-house copywriter working on performance marketing, you’ll contribute to team discussions on strategy and content ideas for paid social, search, app store, and other channels. Together with marketing managers, you’ll come up with creative experiment plans for performance marketing campaigns that are in line with our overarching brand strategy.
In everything you do, you’ll write high-performing copy and ensure our upbeat, casual, and inclusive brand voice shines through across our 11 languages. You’ll develop a deep understanding of our customers – from casual hikers to mountain bikers – and craft your writing in a way that inspires and drives action. You’ll also work with our localization manager to ensure that the right tone of voice, terminology, and testing intent are reflected in translations.
