ARETUM, a premier government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is looking for a dedicated and proactive Strategic Communications Support professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in the development and execution of strategic communications initiatives that align with our organizational goals and enhance our reputation in the Federal contracting space.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a CB-wide story, key messages, and strategic communication plan for a cybersecurity organization.
  • Develop campaign goals and think strategically to influence stakeholders, the public, and other audiences in order to accomplish an organizational objective.
  • Provide support that effectively communicates defined strategic goals and objectives for individual programs and for broader CB tailored to various audiences.
  • Develop dynamic storytelling content (to include, but not limited to, storyboards, success stories, blog posts, speaking engagement talking points, memos, and briefing materials) to effectively communicate how we advance CISA/CB strategic goals.
  • Perform technical writing/editing that can assess a variety of technical guidance and policy documents/ products/services/trainings and create language/story about a larger concerted effort. For example, being able to tie a series of ZT guidance products to a larger story about how CISA is working to advance a key pillar of the maturity model that CISA created, ultimately, reinforcing trust in CISA’s plan/leadership in the Zero Trust space.
  • Understand targeted audiences and develop content to strategically inform and influence targeted audiences.
  • Ability to take technical or complex subject matter and communicate in meaningful plain language messaging/stories to a variety of audiences (i.e. senior executives, the general public, Congress, etc.) that focus not on the WHAT but the WHY.
  • Review speaking engagement requests and opportunities and evaluate audience, topic, etc. In alignment with CB’s broader strategic plan to make recommendation to leadership

Requirements

  • Experienced and highly skilled creative strong writers and analytical thinkers that can help CB more effectively tell its story and engage with CB customers and inform and influence CISA stakeholders.
  • Experience interviewing subject matter experts on current and past work to develop dynamic content (i.e., ghost write a blog) that can influence and inform various stakeholders.
  • Understands the federal government landscape, customers, and audiences.
  • Background or experiences in public relations, marketing, crisis communication, advertising, persuasion theory, and communication campaigns.
