Job Description

Description

Hello! We’re hiring for a unique role! We are looking for someone to join the TCLA team on a fully remote basis, full time or part time (20 hours per week), until 31 January 2025. The role is available to start as soon as possible, and the end date is flexible, with the option to extend for the right person.

You’ll be responsible for managing the new directory we have built directly into our forum. It’s free for anyone to access, and will be used by thousands of aspiring lawyers in their journey to commercial law. You’ll help students and graduates to better understand the differences between law firms, including practice areas, clients and deals, international offices, and training.

Each week, you will:

  • Add new law firms to the directory, identifying their key practice areas, international locations, differentiating factors and training benefits
  • Curate existing profiles, including their clients and deals, events and opportunities, and social media presence

Requirements

You need the following skills and attributes:

  • Exceptional written communication and attention to detail skills (this is most important!)
  • A passion for writing
  • A good understanding of the legal market
  • The ability to manage your time and provide clear updates over your progression

Benefits

This role is perfect for an aspiring lawyer or future trainee solicitor who would like to better understand the differences between commercial law firms in London. Through this role, you will develop a very detailed understanding of the London legal market.

This role is fully remote, but you need to right to work in the UK. You should also be available to work in our offices in Canary Wharf for the first two days of training.

The salary is based on a full time salary of £24,000, or £2,000 per month. This will be prorated if you apply for the part-time role.

Applications will be open until we find the right person for the role. Please apply ASAP – the next stage is a short virtual interview, but much of the decision-making will be based on your application form.
