UWorld is looking for an AP Spanish Teacher to join our growing organization as a curriculum writer and content author. This experienced candidate will collaborate with a team of educators to write AP Spanish content for our growing web-based Advanced Placement products. We seek individuals with an unending passion for education who strive to develop an exceptional product centered on student learning as well as making life easier for teachers.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity in a growing environment, and authors will have the potential to engage in the product life cycle from planning and development to completion and maintenance.

Minimum Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; master’s degree preferred

·        Must have a teaching degree or certification, plus a Spanish degree or minor

Minimum Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience teaching AP Spanish in a high school setting is required
  • Experience writing curriculum preferred
  • AP Reader, AP Table Leader, and AP Consultant experience highly preferred

  • Proven history of working independently while operating within a team environment
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and self-motivate to successfully meet deadlines
  • Brainstorm and collaborate in a team setting
  • Proficient in MS Office/working knowledge of IT

Job Responsibilities:

This position will report to the Director of College Readiness. The AP content author will create materials for UWorld AP Spanish learning platforms and will participate in product development for our brand-new curriculum resources.

  • Develop activities and lecture materials for use in an AP classroom
  • Write a wide variety of multiple-choice and free-response questions with comprehensive explanations
  • Develop simple and elegant images that visualize the written explanations
  • Play a key role in development, planning, and execution of new projects
  • Provide revisions and constructive feedback on content written by other authors
  • Collaborate with management and work closely with other content experts to create questions and products as a team
  • Assist other content team members during peak periods of new content production to ensure that all deadlines are met
  • Manage time effectively while multi-tasking
